Why I created Fairway Shade

I had heaps of short-sleeve golf shirts, but I kept finding myself getting burnt on the arms and getting smashed by the summer heat here on the east coast of Australia. That’s why I created Fairway Shade.

I also wanted to make a golf shirt you could wear at any course, whether you’re heading down to your local or playing a round at Royal Melbourne. Something with a proper polo collar and a clean look that fits in wherever you play. The idea was to keep the lightweight feel of a golf polo, with comfort and freedom to swing at the heart of the design, and give it long sleeves for extra arm coverage. All the things I wanted in a golf shirt, just with a bit more coverage.

Based in Maryborough, Queensland, Fairway Shade combines understated two-tone colours with our embroidered chest icon. Every shirt is custom made to order, with customer orders brought together in small supplier batches.

Custom made. Ordered together.

Order one shirt or more. We combine orders into batches of 25 shirts, with up to 30 days from each batch’s first paid order to fill.

After the batch fills, estimated arrival in Maryborough is 7–10 days. Handling and postage to your address are additional.

If your batch has not filled by its 30-day deadline, we cancel it and refund all amounts paid, including postage.
